The Thermophore Classic Moist Heating Pad is the original Thermophore, with a hand-held switch that lets you press for heat and release to cool down. The unique Thermophore Classic design delivers intense, moist heat to your muscles, without having to add water. It is weighted and flexible, so it conforms to your body's contours.
The Thermophore Medium/Joint heat pack is particularly useful for smaller adults, as well as particular parts of the body, such as hands, feet, shoulders, elbows or knees.
Fleece blend flannel cover is included. Need more moisture? Upgrade to the Moisture-Plus Cover, with a separate sleeve that lets you add a damp cloth.

Carefully examine before each use. Discard unit if shows signs of deterioration. Follow instructions packed with unit. Do not use on infants, persons with poor circulation or insensitive skin. Persons with diabetes should be especially careful applying heat. Check skin frequently to avoid burns. Temperature is sufficiently intense to cause burns. Use no pins. Do not wet.

Pros: Both of my chiropractors keep these in their offices; five or ten minutes of heat treatment before getting adjusted relaxes the muscles to make the adjustments easier. After years of being dissatisfied with the cheaper heating pads I used at home, I finally got smart and ordered a Thermaphore, price be damned. They are simply superior in every way to cheaper pads. Like with most everything, you get what you pay for.
Cons: price!

Shopping Experience: My wife is a RN BSN and had a Classic just like my new 14x14. Intense heat I can control is what I like best. Giving a heating pad as a gift was something I thought I'd never do, but after using it on my painful disc bulges in my back, and having used it on my chest after I twice suffered chest pains, I'm sending one to every freind and family member this year (and I never send junk).

Shopping Experience: A few friends have the Thermophore Moist Heating Pads. They let me use it, I liked it so I purchased the Standard size and the petite size. I think they’re the best.

Shopping Experience: Very helpful after a knee replacement – like that it’s useful for arms as well as legs – wish it had a tension dial/gauge.
